PE6 Reflection
Looking back on the first half of the second semester, I can really see how I have improved in speaking Japanese. I don't find myself constantly thinking in my head (conjugating verbs, remembering vocabulary, etc.), and stuff sometimes just flows out. That being said, since we are using and learning more and more casual speech, I need to make myself more comfortable with it especially since I will be in Japan in 2 months! So here are my goals for the end of the year:

PE Goal & Activity Statement
With the new semester, I want to focus my efforts on really improving on using Japanese without having to hesitate, stutter, or pause to gather my thoughts. To do this, I will try to practice more free conversations in the upcoming PE assignments, and start going to office hours more often. Also, just thinking about Japanese words and conjugations--whether I'm walking to class or taking a shower--really helps to improve my speech fluidity. I don't have to think about the conjugation of a certain present or past tense adjective or verb while I'm talking. And, I want to improve on my casual speech for sure and understanding the different grammar rules! Practicing some anime shadowing exercises can help me get used to the speed of casual speech and to use it as well!
